Anna Hazare to go on fast from August 16

It all began at jantar mantar in the month of April when  Anna Hazare, an old man who believes in Gandhiji's values decided to go on fast for the betterment of the people and of the country.It began in jantar mantar and today what we see is a result of his courage. Many social activists are coming up and the people of India have started to believe that we could be freed from corruption.
When Annaji began his fast every person in the  country irrespective of caste, creed, religion came out to support him. Although lakhs of people flew to jantar mantar to show their support to annaji, many other showed their support through digital media, forwarding texts.
What happened after that is history, government came down and agreed to form a committee and it was decided that lokpal bill first draft would be out on or befor 30 June, 2011.

The day the fast ended the country rejoiced with victory. Now almost after 2 months we see that the government which agreed to support the lokpall bill is going to submit its own version of draft  and Annaji with other members of the committee another draft and everyone knows which version of the draft might get passed.

The point of difference came because of many reasons one of the main reason was the inclusion of prime minister and judges under the bill. As Mr. Narayan Murthy rightly said what is the problem when prime minister comes under the scrutiny ?
Congress government should understand that bringing prime minister and judges under the lokpall bill would only strengthen the democracy and not weaken it. But all this allegations and statements made against the members of committee only shows what are the intentions of the government. As a common man I only understood that the government never wanted lokpal bill to come into practise.
So first they accepted the proposal and before it would be implemented it would break the committee formed by annaji and other members.All this allegations only show  the cheap tactis of the government.

To protest against this anna ji is again going on fast from August 16. I hope country will shower more support than it ever did before.

49-O

In general most of us reluctant to vote as we do not feel candidates deserve . Do you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section " 49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!

It is suggested to use the facility . Now if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled.

Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them.
This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way; of our whole political system.it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....
