How to transfer HP Gas connection Ownership from Your Deceased Parents or Grand Parents to your name

Hi All,

Greetings of the day to everybody!!

Today I transferred the Gas Connection from my Grandfather to my name. In the process of doing so I had to make lot of rounds from my home to Gas company to courts to Xerox shops.

If you want to avoid wasting lot of time just like I did you are reading a right blog post :)

Below is the list of things compiled from HP's Official Website  and from my personal experience. Before going to your gas company make sure you have all of them.

1. Death Certificate of the Parent or Grand Parent
2. Proof that you are the legal hair of the guardian. For this you can either use your Ration card, ofcourse it should have your name on it, or you can use some proof which can show you are releated to the deceased parent.
3. Original Papers of your Gas Connection
4. A No objection letter from your father stating that he does not have objection if gas connection is transferred from your Grand Father to your name. This is required only when you are transferring ownership from your Grand father's name to yours
5. An Affidavit on 20 Rs stamp paper, kind of no objection. You can download this from the link I have provided above.
6. Some Cash, Mine got completed for 100 bucks. But might vary depending upon the amount of security deposit they already have.
7. Your Identity proof and Address proof.
8. Aadhar Card
9. Last but not the least, please carry one set of Xerox copy of all the above documents.

Please let me know if there is something I have missed. I needed only this documents for getting my transfer done. If there is anything new added I will update the list.

Thanks :)
